Activity and Participation in International-Scale Projects

Idéeclic has been investing in international development for several years, participating in projects and several major conferences focusing on museology, heritage and culture.

  • In partnership with the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN), the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), and the International Committee for Audiovisual and New Image and Sound Technologies AVICOM), Idéeclic is taking part in the organisation of the 2008 Festival International de l'Audiovisuel et du Multimédia sur le Patrimoine (Fiamp) and the symposium Cybermuseology: A Contemporary Practice by Museums.
  • In 2008, a partnership with Monadnock Media (Massachusetts), lead to the development of two projects for American museums in South East Georgia: The Albany Civil Rights Movement Museum and Bridge House.
  • In January 2008, Idéeclic took part, with the cooperation of the Société des musées québécois, in the Salon international des techniques muséographiques (SITEM), in Paris.
  • In 2007, the virtual exhibition Drawing with Light received the Prix Web'Art of the Virtual Exhibition by AVICOM, at the Fiamp Conference.
  • Idéeclic secured its first contract with an American museum, the New York Transit Museum, and worked in consultation with Learning Times (New York), to carry out the project.
  • In 2006, the site Tipatshimuna – Innu Stories from the Land received the Prix Web'Art of the Virtual Exhibition by AVICOM, at the Fiamp Conference.
  • In autumn 2005, the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, granted Idéeclic its first mandate to develop a mini-site on the exhibition Ingres. Since then, Idéeclic has been working in consultation with the Louvre regularly.
  • In 2006, Idéeclic undertook the development of an on-line educational application for children called Kidszone, in partnership with Learning Times (New York), and Intuit, (San Francisco).
  • In December 2005, Idéeclic completed a project with the Alexandria library, in Egypt, to develop a concept for a virtual museum and a virtual library.
  • In October 2005, Idéeclic opened a liaison office in Paris.
  • Idéeclic is planning the development of a virtual museum concept for the Ashanti kingdom, in Ghana.
  • In 2003, Idéeclic acted as a consultant to the Château de Versailles in planning the restructuring of its Web site.
  • In the spring of 2000, Idéeclic entered into its first collaboration with the Washington, D.C. and Mexico City offices of the Organization of American States to create MuseAmericas, a virtual museum of the Americas.
